Frontier Group and technology teams worked together in creating a new mission critical area for Bell Web Services, all within a previously constructed data center in an existing telecom building. The project objective was to create a new highly secure area in an existing network room, involving cage systems from slab to slab, dual authentication systems for entry, hot aisle containments, all new security cameras, and substantial upgrades to the building’s automation system for monitoring purposes. The key challenge with this project was having to work in an existing fully functional data center where dust migration and/or any cooling losses to the existing space was of great concern.
